Coronavirus has affected us all in many different ways. One of the biggest impacts on my life was the sudden lockdown restrictions preventing me from photographing my usual weddings and family portrait sessions. At first, this was a massive shock to me, like it was to many of us. However, I wanted to keep my spirits high and was thinking of ways that I could still do some photography.
It’s that time of the year again where I look back over last year and boy hasn’t it flown by? I must be getting old. It seems like yesterday that I was putting together my 2018 highlights but at the same time I’ve been to so many places and taken more photos than ever.
I always love to photograph new and unusual venues. Lockleaze sports centre doesn’t scream wedding venue but it worked for Claire and Tommo. It’s a blank canvas with plenty of scope to add your own stamp. It also has a huge terrace perfect for long hot summer days.
It was great to be back at one of my favourite Bristol wedding venues, Old Down Manor. The picture-perfect country house located just outside of Bristol has a stunning sweeping staircase, picturesque gardens and photographic backdrops which any photographer would love.
I finished 2018 with a bang, photographing Lottie and Jamie’s super chilled and fun wedding at the beautiful Hornblotton Church followed by the rustic Batts Farm near Bruton in Somerset.

When I first met Sophie and Loz I knew from the start that their wedding was going to be epic. I was really looking forward to the day as I’d never taken photos at Old Oak Farm before and only heard good things about it. I absolutely adore the laid back festival vibe to the venue and I was in my element all day long.
