I was absolutely thrilled to photograph Lowri and Ajay’s vibrant British-Indian fusion wedding at the beautiful Matara Centre in Gloucestershire. It was an unforgettable celebration, wth a joyful blend of two cultures, full of colour, emotion, and energy from start to finish.

It was also one of my longest (and most rewarding) days behind the camera. Starting at 7:30am and finishing at 9:30pm on a packed dance floor, I witnessed the day unfold in the most spectacular way.

The celebrations began with Ajay’s lively Baraat, which is a traditional groom’s procession. Riding in on a white horse, surrounded by energetic drumming, music, and dancing, Ajay made a grand entrance before the wedding party travelled to the Shri Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Swindon for the beautiful Anand Karaj ceremony.

Afterwards, everyone returned to the Matara Centre for the British part of the day. A heartfelt, personalised ceremony led by a celebrant was followed by a delicious meal, hilarious speeches, cake cutting, plenty more dancing, and even a few fun traditional Indian games to end the night on a high.

It was truly a day to remember, jammed packed full of love, laughter, and the most incredible fusion of traditions.
