Lockleaze Sports Centre wedding photography

I always love to photograph new and unusual venues. Lockleaze sports centre doesn’t scream wedding venue but it worked for Claire and Tommo. It’s a blank canvas with plenty of scope to add your own stamp. It also has a huge terrace perfect for long hot summer days.

Claire and Tommo found my photography through my Instagram page. I met them at there home in Bristol for a casual chat and explained what I offered. I think I was there for well over an hour chatting away and they wanted to book on the spot.

I met the girls at the couples home for a morning of crazy action packed bridal preparations. The house was full of bridesmaids, mums, dads, kids, makeup artist and hair stylist, so I always had somewhere to point my camera.

I shot off to the church to get there 30 minutes before the ceremony so I could capture photos of the groom and the guests arriving. The boys had a sneaky hip flask so safe to say there was lots of lad banter before the ceremony.

The ceremony was held at St Bonaventure’s church in Bristol. A venue that I have been to before so knew it well. The girls where fashionably late (but they’re aloud to be , right?) making Tommo sweat at the end of the aisle. Eventually Claire arrived and the emotional ceremony got under way.

After the ceremony I headed to Stoke Park with the newly married couple to take some couples photos. We did this along with images at he venue later in the day so they had a nice variety of locations for their couple photos. Claire and Tommo were so relaxed making for a great set of images.

The rest of the day was at Lockleaze Sports Centre where Claire and Tommo had an absolute ball celebrating with their friends and family. These guys know how to party and what a wedding reception they had. I’m so grateful to Claire and Tommo for having me there to share their special day. They are such a down to earth couple and I felt so welcome!
