Hey, I’m Simon, Bristol born and bred. I started taking photography seriously when I was 18, which made it a natural course for a career. I’ve been a full time self-employed photographer since 2008. Even after all this time I’m still excited as I’ve ever been when out taking photos.

My clients often describe me as an easy going but hard working reliable photographer, who is fun to have around. It’s also been said that I’m great at making anyone who hates having their photos taken feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.

When it comes to my wedding photography, I tend to work well with couples with a good sense of humour, who don’t take themselves too seriously. I want your time with me to be light hearted, but not for a second do I forget how important the images I’m capturing are to you and your loved ones.

All the couples I’ve photographed over the years have all wanted authentic candid photos without their photographer dominating their day. For the most part, I want you and your guests to forget I’m there so I can take photos unnoticed in the background.

I live in an Edwardian terraced house packed full of period charm with my partner in crime Carly. We’ve been together since 2010 and share similar tastes in almost everything. We have acquired a collection of weird and wonderful decorative antiques, which are displayed in our fun and colourful home.

I’m an unashamed cat man and my very handsome furry family consists of Max, Louie and Charlie. They mean the world to me as part of my family and as colleagues, keeping me company while I’m working my magic in my home office (though to date I have not seen them do any work or make me a single cup of tea!) However, they do make up for it with lots of kisses, cuddles and daily comical antics.

When I’m not photographing people, I love spending time in nature capturing photos of wildlife, such as the charismatic red fox and the beautiful brown hare. I enjoy traveling around the UK and the rest of the world for lots of wildlife adventures. I’m very proud that I’ve had some of my personal work awarded in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year, MontPhoto and the British Wildlife Photography Awards.
