BICKLEY BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

When I first chatted with Harriet and Freddie over Zoom about being their Bickley Barns wedding photographer, I knew straight away that their day was going to be epic, full of fun, with a super chilled vibe that perfectly suits my style of wedding photography.

On the day, I was joined by my good friend Ash from Warfi Films, who was in charge of capturing the couple’s video. Just as I’d predicted, the day was an absolute joy to be part of. The crowd was incredible and everyone was up for a proper party, which made photographing them an absolute blast.

Blazing sun and plenty of drinks meant we had the perfect recipe for some truly epic photos. Every part of the day was relaxed, from the ceremony led by Olivia Coleman (no, not the actress from The Crown or Peep Show!) to the informal BBQ with no table plan, and a dance floor packed with people showing off all kinds of crazy moves. This was definitely my kind of wedding!

“If you’re looking for a photographer to capture your big day in all it’s fun and colourful glory, then look no further. Simon photographed our wedding in August 2022 and there’s not a thing we’d change about our experience with him.

Initial communications were easy, we had a Zoom call where he ran through his services (including backup plans for every sort of mishap that we hadn’t even considered!), and discussed our plans for our day. We then sealed the deal and arranged our complimentary engagement shoot, which was SO beneficial, for getting to know Simon better and getting comfy in front of his camera before the big day.

He actually helped to keep us on schedule in the morning and even helped with things like my grandad’s tie and clearing up (I’m a touch OCD so this meant a lot)!

Somehow, without an ounce of stress or bossiness, he made sure we got all of the group shots we’d requested and more! He was great with the kids and got gorgeous smiley photos of all of the little ones we had in attendance.

I also can’t go without mentioning what an excellent sport he was with me and my wild, bossy and Prosecco fuelled bridesmaids, even when we were doing mooners and giving him the bumps (sorry again Simon!).

Now for the most important bit… our gallery. We are completely blown away. Every photo is so beautiful (the golden hour ones are especially *chefs kiss*), and miraculously we have stunning candid shots of all of our 150 guests?!

Everyone has said what a great job he’s done at capturing the relaxed, fun and happy vibe of our day. We also got it back much sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. You think you can only live your big day once, but it turns out with the right photographer (that’s Simon!) , you can truly relive it a million times, plus all the bits you missed. Simon, there aren’t words for how grateful we are.”
