Kingscote Barn wedding photography – Vicky + Russell

This was my second time that I’d shot a wedding at the scenic Gloucestershire-based wedding venue Kingscote Barn. It has a winning combination of far-reaching views, stunning grounds full of awesome spots for photos and a lovely restored 17th Century Cotswold stone barn, which is perfect for adding your own stamp. We were blessed with the most glorious autumnal weather with the sun out pretty much all day. I love the light at this time of year as the sun is lower in the sky which is perfect for back and side lighting.

I met up with Vicky and the girls in the morning at Tuppence Barn, situated about a mile down the road from Kingscote Barn. Everyone was super chilled and full of smiles and laughter as they all prepared themselves for the amazing day ahead.

The ceremony took place in St. Mary’s Church in the picturesque village of North Woodchester. Russell and the boys were eagerly waiting with a church full of guests. Vicky’s brother walked her down the aisle into a beautiful ceremony packed full of emotion. The newly weds walked back down the aisle and looked pretty chuffed with themselves. They went outside where they were meet with a face full of confetti.

The happy couple jumped in the back of their stylish VW camper van and headed off to the next leg of the day at Kingscote Barn. We obliviously made the most of the beautiful autumnal light and stunning scenery for some chilled out couple photos. 

The main room in the barn was beautifully styled with gorgeous flowers, tea lights and a semi naked wedding cake with looked absolutely delicious. The high spirits carried on into the meal and speeches.

The autumn light did its thing in the late afternoon allowing for a few more informal couple portraits. Then Vicky and Russell had their first dance surrounded by all their friends and family and the party really got started!

It was a massive privilege to be part of this stunning wedding of two people clearly completely in love with each other celebrating their day with a wonderful set of family and friends in a gorgeous setting with weather that every couple dreams of.
