Love is offically back in the air

The world has changed massively since I last made my yearly wedding photography highlights blog, way back in 2019. Like so many industries, weddings as we all know and love, were off the cards for a good 18 months. During that time it gave me a lot of time to think and to consider what was really important in life. Also, it hit home to never take what I have for granted. I can’t tell you how much I missed my job, witnessing you guys getting hitched and capturing so many emotional wedding moments.

When measures eventually started relaxing enough that weddings were able to go ahead it was such a great feeling. The countless couples who had been patiently waiting (often after postponing 2 or 3 times) could finally have the celebration that they had been planning for a looong time. Love was officially back in the air and everyone was itching to let their hair down and have a well deserved party.

I like to say a MASSIVE thanks to all my awesome couples over the last couple of years or so. You’ve all been very understanding of the whole situation and very welcoming to me on your wedding days. It’s been an absolute pleasure to be part of your big day and I hope my photos will be cherished for many years to come. Without you guys my photography career would cease to exist, so I’m genuinely grateful to you for choosing and trusting me as your wedding photographer.

I’m also equally thankful for all the couples that have booked me to photograph their wedding in 2022 and beyond. It’s insane to think that I’m pretty much fully booked for 2022 weddings already. I can’t wait to photograph each one and see where my photography journey takes me.

After many hours of deliberating and looking through literally THOUSANDS of images from 2021, I’ve managed to narrow down to some of my favourite shots. This was no easy task, but was amazing looking back at so much love and happiness. This year I shot what I would normally cover in a 12 month period in just 6 months, so it’s been a bit hectic to say the least.

Here’s to 2022 and let’s hope we can all put you-know-what behind us and get on with what matters most. May it bring us all brighter times and tons of moments like these!
