After being recommended by a friend and fellow Bristol wedding photographer Sophie and Ross decided to book my services for their church and marquee wedding in Winterbourne, Bristol. Set to be a really relaxed and chilled affair, it was perfect for my style of wedding photography.
From a photographic point of view there are few things that can top a marquee wedding, since daylight shines through the material and acts like a giant diffuser (whatever the weather) making great soft flattering light, which everybody loves. They’re also often in a field in the middle of nowhere which means I can get creative with finding spots for the all-important couple shots. This wedding we lucked out with a cool barn next door and a lovely crop field for some gorgeous sunset photos.
Speaking with them during their engagement shoot about 6 weeks before their big day the couple mentioned that they still had a bit of an epic list that needed to be sorted out including cake, decorations etc. When I arrived I realised that all that last minute organising had really paid off as everything ran smoothly and the marquee looked incredible! Obviously Sophie and Ross work well to a deadline as I wouldn’t have even known that it wasn’t all sorted well in advance.
It was so nice to see these guys have such an amazing day and would like to say a big thanks for having me there to share it with them.
