Kingscote Barn wedding photography, Gloucestershire

As a wedding photographer I love the opportunity to visit lots of different wedding venues all over the South West. This was the first time that I’d shot at the scenic Gloucestershire-based wedding venue Kingscote Barn. It has a winning combination of far-reaching views, stunning grounds full of awesome spots for photos and a lovely restored 17th Century Cotswold stone barn, which is perfect for adding your own style.

Travelling down the long driveway with the sun in my eyes I looked across the stunning scenery and knew it was going to be a good day.

I met up with Kate and the girls in the morning at Spring Cottage, situated within the grounds of Kingscote Barn. Everyone was super chilled and full of smiles as they all prepared themselves for the amazing day ahead. Jacob, my second shooter for the day, was hanging out with guys as they made finishing touches to the barn and got their glad rags on in the Oak Room.

As the weather was so good the couple obviously chose to have their ceremony at Kingscote Barn’s outdoor area under the eye-catching flower-dressed linhay.

Their attention to detail was amazing and the barn was very tastefully decorated. I had a field day photographing all the details that the couple clearly had put alot of time and dedication into. All the guests were blown away by how great the barn looked for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The perfect summery weather continued throughout the day and into the evening. After the speeches I had planned an early evening couple shoot in the crop fields which you see as you come down the drive. Jacob and I grabbed the newlyweds, bundled them into my car and headed along the drive to get to our perfect photo location. Kate and Dave were great and had no hesitation in venturing into the field, affording us the opportunity to get what I consider to be the best shots from their day.

It was a massive privilege to be part of this stunning wedding of two people clearly completely in love with each other celebrating their day with a wonderful set of family and friends in a gorgeous setting with weather that every couple dreams of. I hope you enjoy looking through these as much as I enjoyed creating them!
