Kingscote Barn winter wedding photography

It was great to be back at the stunning Kingscote Barn near Tetbury. On my way to the venue the heavens opened and it was pretty windy, so full winter wedding photography mode was on the cards. Sara and Eric booked my ceremony and evening package, which covers 30 minutes before the ceremony until an hour after first dance.

We had to do a bit of rain dodging to capture their couple portraits and sparkler photos. Everything else was all cosy indoors, but that didn’t really matter as the venue interior is so beautiful. Despite the undesirable weather the happy couple and their guests had an absolute ball and it was so much fun being part of this lovely wedding.

If you’re getting married in the winter this blog is a great example of how I work when the weather isn’t playing ball and light levels are low. When the rain stopped we took the opportunity to head outside for their relaxed couple photos making the most Kingscote Barn beautiful, which happens to look stunning in any weather. The venue was really toasty inside, so the cool air was actually quite refreshing.

“We didn’t notice he was there most of the time as he just blended in as he was capturing lots of amazing pictures!”

“We had Simon photograph our wedding recently and we couldn’t be happier. We really wanted to capture the day and have lots of natural relaxed photos with is exactly what we got. Simon was really easy to work with (especially as neither of us love having our photo taken!).

We are super happy and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon to anyone looking for a photographer for their big day. Thanks Simon!”
