Orchardleigh House wedding photography

I couldn’t believe my luck when I woke up to a gloriously sunny winter day for my second wedding of 2018 at the stunning Orchardleigh House. I’ve visited this romantic manor house a few times to photograph weddings and am always happy to return.

The boys were in good spirits for the morning preparations and were larking about from the get go. A mood that set the tone for the rest of the day.

The sun flooded Orchardleigh’s amazing bridal suite with my favourite soft light and meant I could capture some stunning photos of the girls getting ready and Ruth’s accessories.

After a minor wardrobe malfunction the ceremony started a little later than planned. Well, the bride is allowed to be fashionably late, right?

The ceremony was full of emotion from the bride and groom along with a few guests which I captured on camera. I love emotional guests as they’re perfect for photos.

We had a round of fun group photos which both the girls and boys really got into.

The lush winter sun lit the house and grounds beautifully and created some stunning shadows to work with during the couple shots. It was a bit nippy so we had to work quickly to go back inside to warm up.

The ballroom looked absolutely stunning for the wedding breakfast. However, before the breakfast was a round of heartfelt and particularly funny speeches. I had a little chuckle (and as you can imagine I see them week-in week-out so they must have been good!)

Then it was time to hit the dance floor to party! The band pumped up the tunes and really got the crowd going. It was the perfect end to a stunning winter wedding.
