It was my first time being a Pony Chew Valley wedding photographer, and to say I was excited would be an understatement. I’d visited the venue before for its incredible food, so I already knew I was in for a real treat.

I first met Izzie and Will at a wedding show in Bristol, where they chose my Part Day package, covering everything from around 30 minutes before their ceremony through to one hour after their first dance. It was the perfect amount of time to capture the key moments while keeping things relaxed and completely focused on enjoying the day.

A Beautiful Chew Valley Wedding Venue

The newly licensed Pony Chew Valley is stunning inside and out, with incredible views stretching across the Chew Valley countryside. Tucked away within the beautiful gardens is the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony, surrounded by greenery and the Somerset landscape.

As a Pony Chew Valley wedding photographer, I was spoilt for choice when it came to beautiful places to photograph.

The ceremony itself was incredibly emotional, with plenty of heartfelt tears from both Izzie, Will and their lovely guests. There were so many genuine reactions and meaningful little moments happening throughout the ceremony that I had no shortage of opportunities to capture the story of the day.

The venue and surrounding landscape are packed with gorgeous backdrops for wedding photography, whether you’re looking for group photographs with your friends and family or something a little more relaxed for your couple portraits.

I always like to keep the couple photos relaxed and relatively short. Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot, and I don’t want you disappearing off for ages while everyone else is enjoying the party.

A little time together, some beautiful surroundings and a few natural photographs are more than enough before getting back to your guests.

It was easily some of the best wedding catering I’ve ever tasted,  and I’ve eaten a lot of meals in my time as a wedding photographer! But that probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when your wedding venue is home to one of the finest restaurants in Somerset.

Speeches, Dancing and a Brilliant Party

The speeches delivered the perfect combination of humour and emotion, giving me endless opportunities to capture those brilliant reactions from the couple, their families and friends.

As the evening celebrations got underway, the dance floor quickly became the place to be. There were plenty of brilliant dance-floor antics, big moves and even bigger smiles, providing the perfect way to round off the day.

Izzie and Will’s Pony Chew Valley wedding was an utterly incredible celebration, full of love, laughter, great food and pure happiness.
