It was my first time photographing a Pony Chew Valley wedding, and to say I was excited would be an understatement. I’d visited the venue before for its incredible food, so I already knew I was in for a real treat. I first met Izzie and Will at a wedding show in Bristol, where they chose my Part Day option, covering the moments from 30 minutes before their ceremony to one hour after their first dance.

The newly licensed venue is stunning inside and out, with epic views across the Chew Valley countryside. Tucked within the beautiful gardens is the perfect alfresco spot to tie the knot. During their ceremony, emotions ran high for both the happy couple and their guests. There was no shortage of heartfelt tears and meaningful moments to capture.

The venue and surrounding landscape are packed with gorgeous backdrops, ideal for group photos and couple portraits. And the food… easily some of the best wedding catering I’ve ever taste, and I’ve eaten a lot of meals in my time as a wedding photographer! But that’s no surprise coming from one of the finest restaurants in Somerset.

The speeches delivered the perfect mix of humour and emotion, giving me endless opportunities for storytelling images. The evening ended with brilliant dance-floor antics, rounding off an utterly incredible day filled with love, laughter, and pure happiness.
