St Mary Redcliffe + Paintworks wedding photography

I’ve often driven or walked past St Mary Redcliffe Church and thought, “I’d love to shoot a wedding in there one day.” So finally having the opportunity was truly amazing.

If you’re not familiar with the venue, it’s an iconic piece of Bristol architecture with one of the most epic church interiors you’ll ever see. The weather wasn’t entirely on our side, so we did a bit of rain dodging, but we still made it work perfectly.

The second part of the day took place at my old stomping ground, the super-trendy Paintworks, where I once ran a photographic studio. The space couldn’t have been more different from the church — vibrant, urban, and full of character, but it worked beautifully. It was the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary architecture. Thankfully, just after the speeches, the dark clouds cleared, and the sun came out just in time for a round of sunset couple portraits. With rustic bricks and colourful panels everywhere, I wasn’t short of amazing backdrops.
