St Mary Redcliffe + Paintworks wedding photography

I’ve often driven or walked past the St Mary Redcliffe church and thought to myself “I’d love to shoot a wedding in there”. So it was amazing to finally have the opportunity.

If you don’t know the venue, it’s a piece of iconic Bristol architecture with the most epic interior you’ve ever seen in a church. The weather didn’t exactly play ball so we had to do a little bit of rain dodging but we still managed just fine.

The second part of the day was hosted at my old stomping ground where I once had a photographic studio, the super trendy Paintworks. The colour and cool urban space couldn’t anymore different from the church, but it worked really well. It was the perfect blend of traditional and new architecture. Thankfully, just after the speeches the dark clouds cleared and the sun came out just in time for a round of sunset couple portraits. I wasn’t short of rustic bricks and colourful panels to work with.
