Farnham Pottery wedding photographer

It was my first time being a Farnham Pottery wedding photographer, and I couldn’t have been more excited! This unique Surrey venue is packed full of history and rustic charm, exactly my kind of place. The Victorian pottery has equally stunning interiors and exteriors, which made my job as a photographer an absolute joy.

The day began with the excitement of the morning preparations. Both the bridal party and the groomsmen got ready in a pair of beautiful neighbouring cottages on the Northbrook Estate, just a short drive from the pottery.

As part of their personalised ceremony, the couple chose to include a handfasting ritual, where their hands were bound together to symbolise their union and commitment. Several family members took part, and the final knot was tied by the groom’s sister, fittingly representing the well-known phrase “tying the knot.”

We were blessed with glorious October sunshine, which bounced beautifully off the pottery’s warm victorian brickwork, creating the most flattering light for both group shots and couple portraits. The weather was so lovely that the couple even decided to hold their speeches outside at the back of the venue.

The evening celebrations were full of fun, including a surprise appearance from the couple’s cat on the dance floor in the form of hilarious photos on sticks. It was an incredible day from start to finish, and I’d love to return to this gorgeous venue, both as a photographer and to visit their amazing café.

He also managed to turn all of the photos around within 3 weeks of the wedding, meaning that we weren’t waiting very long at all, since we were so excited to see them.“
