This was my first time being The Hollow at The Pear Orchard wedding photographer, so I was really excited when Bethany and Joe booked me to photograph their big day. From the colourful confetti and a pedicab entrance to golden-hour couple photos and a packed dance floor, it turned out to be a brilliant wedding from start to finish.

The day began at the lovely St Andrew’s Church in Clevedon, just a few miles up the road from the main venue. Bethany and Joe had chosen my Part Day package, so I started taking photos 30 minutes before the ceremony, capturing the atmosphere and all the excitement as their guests arrived.

The church was packed with friends and family, all there to see Bethany and Joe tie the knot. There was a brilliant atmosphere as everyone waited for the ceremony to begin, and plenty of emotion as the couple said their vows.

As Bethany and Joe came out of the church as newlyweds, they were greeted by a huge shower of super-colourful confetti from their friends and family. It was the perfect way to kick off the celebrations and made for some brilliant, joyful photographs.

After a few photos outside the church, we headed into the community garden for a chance to relax and enjoy the moment before making our way to the main wedding venue.

A Relaxed Wedding at The Hollow at The Pear Orchard

One of my favourite moments of the day was seeing the newlyweds leave the church heading to their reception in a pedicab, essentially a bicycle rickshaw! It’s not something you see at every wedding, and it made for a seriously fun exist/entrance that the guests clearly loved.

With its rustic charm and beautiful wooded setting, The Hollow at The Pear Orchard is a fantastic place for a relaxed wedding celebration. Tucked away amongst the trees, the venue has a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to informal, fun weddings where the focus is on spending time with the people you love.

Add in some delicious street-style food, plenty of drinks and a great group of people, and you’ve got a pretty brilliant combination.

As a The Hollow at The Pear Orchard wedding photographer, I loved having so much freedom to photograph the day as it naturally unfolded. There was no need to manufacture moments, they were happening everywhere.

Golden Hour Couple Photos

As the sun started to drop lower in the sky, we headed out into the nearby fields for some relaxed couple photos.

The warm evening light was absolutely gorgeous, giving us the perfect conditions for a few quiet moments away from the rest of the celebrations. A few minutes together, some beautiful evening light and then it’s straight back to the party.

Piñatas, Dancing and a Brilliant Wedding Party

The evening celebrations continued with a fun piñata and plenty of sweets flying everywhere. Needless to say, things got pretty lively! There was definitely no shortage of energy on the dance floor either, with everyone getting stuck into the celebrations and making the most of the evening.
